Lessons learned

Jeff--
Ok out front of our homes on Riata 10+ years ago,  watching Ismael (Ismeral)  driving your "classic" tractor down Leigh Lane, happy as a clam he was driving and showing off his wonderful skills you had taught him so beautifully!

As he headed straight towards our home, one hand on the wheel and firmly in control of the "classic" tractor, he was passing the Yost house steaming ahead, to ensure plenty of gusto to get to Jeff's driveway..

Jeff and I out front assured of Ismael's  direction, posture and disposition, he would make the corner, even at those speeds to secure his place and to show he had no doubt of his dedication to you, Jeff.

Little did he know as he plowed down the street we would watch him step down with his strong, Manly feet, on the brakes non existent or escaping his feet, to run right into my large trailer parked on the street.

At least he lifted the bucket on the front to save the precious tractor it was all to clear, as the dust and smoke lifted Ismael  was victoriously embarrassed right here.

But no one was hurt, except for some pride, and we pulled back the tractor and nervously laughed while watching Jeff cried.  NO - actually Jeff, as always, just shook this off as well and chalked it up to another lesson learned.  He is one of the most patient men we have ever meant and have learned many lessons from him over the years.  Even while just chatting with him in his old tan truck - then is bright red truck!  Happy Birthday!

This came later by Kathleen after I told her I have never heard this before....
I remember that story from a long time ago - you were likely a teen and off and running.  Your Dad and Casey could see it coming - Casey cracked up and loves the story every time he thinks about it.  I think he just loves talking with your Dad most of all. I'm too afraid to know what they talk about -- probably all of the "treasures" they find and keep that they will use one day and use to stash in the yard -that your Mom and I would have loved to have seen out of our yards -- haha :)
Hope he has a great day today!!
xoxo
