Is this Normal?

I will never forget living with dad and finding him crammed as far as he could inside the side-by-side freezer when I would come home.  It took me moving out of the house and lots of time at other people’s homes to realize that this isn’t normal, though it was commonplace in ours.  Construction + AZ heat = Lots of visits to the freezer.
